Geared for the professional but open to the public, this essential one-day interviewing techniques workshop will explore the art of recording professional picture and sound in a documentary interview setting. Topics include: prepping for the interview, equipment choice and usage, lighting the interview, audio, camera placement, and backgrounds - complete with tips and tricks to put your interview subjects at ease. Students will participate in demonstrations of these techniques both indoors and outside (weather permitting) while using professional 4K cameras including the Panasonic Lumix GH-5 and GH-4.
This course is perfect for documentary filmmakers, directors of documentaries and corporate communications people needing to learn "one-man band techniques". This course is a perfect follow-up for students who have taken the Developing the Documentary course.
