This basic production course is designed to introduce students to the key concepts and practices for creating a digital video or film project. Topics to be covered include the various levels of digital filmmaking equipment, the significance of lighting and sound, shot composition, camera movement, visual storytelling devices, working as a filmmaking crew and an introduction to digital editing. Students will work collaboratively as a digital cinema team to write, shoot and edit their own original projects.
This course meets once a week for five hours over a six week term.
