This 8-week advanced screenwriting clinic will provide students with individual attention, mentorship, and support needed to complete their feature narrative or documentary film scripts. Students will present their writing to the class for peer feedback and critique, guided by the instructor, and will be expected to revise their scripts regularly outside of class. Discussions will revolve around character development, plot lines, and overall structure, as well as effective utilization of story models. It is recommended but not required for students to hold a basic knowledge of the screenwriting format prior to enrolling in this course; elements of structure, plot, action, and character development.
